We Share the Same SkyWe Share the Same Sky

Banner Theatre's new show looks at the world of work in the context of the gathering global recession. Using video interviews, digital media and original new music and song, We Share the Same Sky entwines the stories of three visitors to Britain: Ali from Afghanistan, Natalya from Poland and Edenis from Venezuela.

It weaves their stories into a rich tableau to ask what control we have over our working lives in the crisis-ridden 21st-century global economy. Are we makers of our destinies or the tools of powerful multinational corporations? And does the economic downturn herald a new period of struggle, resistance and change?
